Description

Aloe ramosissima, also known as the quiver tree, is an iconic succulent tree native to Namibia and South Africa. It's characterized by its thick, branching stems covered in a silvery-gray, papery bark, which the local Bushmen traditionally used to make quivers for their arrows. The leaves are narrow and pointed, arranged in dense rosettes at the ends of the branches. During the winter months, it produces spikes of yellow flowers. It thrives in full sun and very well-draining soil, making it well-suited for arid environments. Water sparingly, allowing the soil to dry out completely between waterings. Aloe ramosissima is a visually stunning and long-lived plant that adds a dramatic element to any landscape. Consider providing protection from frost.
