Description

Ariocarpus bravoanus is a captivating cactus, esteemed for its unique morphology and challenging cultivation requirements. The plant has a flattened, almost camouflaged appearance, resembling a collection of stone-like tubercles. These tubercles are usually a grayish-green color and are arranged in a rosette pattern. Flowers are usually white or cream-colored, which adds to its charm. It is native to a small area of northern Mexico. This slow-growing species demands well-draining, mineral-rich soil and full sun exposure. Water infrequently, allowing the soil to dry completely between waterings. Be careful to not overwater, as Ariocarpus bravoanus is susceptible to root rot. Propagation is usually done through seeds, as offsets are rare.
